By forming a diverse team, we want to empower people by collectively respecting and appreciating what makes them different in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education, cultural background, and national origin. To facilitate diversity, we are focusing on making it attractive for people from all different backgrounds to join our company and become a Trengo Hero. Our journey for diversity starts in the recruitment process. Our commitment goes to ensuring that all Trengo Heroes develop, retain, and help maintain a sense of belonging, respect, and value towards people from all different backgrounds. We are dedicated to treating everyone with equity, ensuring fair and equal opportunities for all, while promoting inclusion in everything we do. We work together to create a truly inclusive environment.

• Ethnicities & Nationalities → Our team represents 30+ nationalities (we speak English at the office but also facilitate multilingual lunches).
• Gender → ±54% men, ±41% women, ±5% prefers not to say.
• Age Diversity → Our team spans four working generations, learning from each other.
• Sexual Orientation → A part of our team openly identifies as LGBTQ+. Love is love.
• Gender Identity → We respect who you are. Let us know your preferred pronouns.
• Religions → We support freedom of belief and offer a dedicated prayer room. </aside>

Inclusive Recruitment & Hiring

• Reducing bias → Hiring managers and anyone involved in the hiring process receive interview training to recognize and mitigate bias, ensuring fair and objective evaluations.
• Hiring process → We strive for a diverse candidate pipeline by using tools for gender-neutral language, prioritizing values and skills, and expanding outreach. We encourage applications without profile pictures, age, or address details, focusing on what you bring to the team. </aside>

Employee Support & Development

• Neurodiversity & Accessibility → We provide tools and support for neurodivergent and differently-abled employees. We also partner with OpenUp, offering quick access to mental health support.
• Equal Pay → We use a job valuation framework to ensure fair and equal pay. We conduct yearly checks to address any pay gaps, including gender pay disparities.
• Performance reviews → Our performance reviews use standardized questions and ratings to ensure fairness. Leadership calibration sessions add an extra check for consistency, giving everyone an equal opportunity for growth and recognition.
• Tracking DEI → Our engagement survey includes questions on DEI perceptions and psychological safety, helping us assess our progress and identify areas for improvement. This feedback guides our ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive and supportive workplace. </aside>

Learning & Awareness

• Awareness Weeks → We organize educational and engaging awareness weeks on topics like cultural diversity (with lots of food!), Pride, neurodiversity, well-being, and gender diversity—encouraging open learning and sharing.
• Training → Every new hire receives training on giving and receiving feedback, taking different preferences into account. Additionally, we have a core value workshop that focuses on what these values mean for us, for you, and how they translate into behavior. </aside>

💡 But, we are not done yet. Trengo will keep working on improving Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion until it is part of our identity and an everyday priority.

We value transparency, integrity, and accountability at Trengo. Our whistleblowing policy encourages employees to speak up if they witness misconduct or unethical behavior, ensuring that our workplace remains fair and responsible.

It details the process for submitting reports, what qualifies as misconduct, and the steps taken to investigate claims. Our awareness weeks

Diversity is reality. Equity & Inclusion are a choice

For this reason, we plan awareness weeks full of events and workshops to empower our diverse Trengo Heroes in their working life, as well as their colleagues and managers who play an important role when it comes to supporting them. The workshops are hosted by specialists and coaches!
